Once Again SnapChat User Accounts Hacked and Photos Leaked

Famous Photo messaging application SnapChat 200K users private photos are leaked by hackers, many of them are teenagers, have allegedly had their photos gathered by the third party over a number of years before the pictures were posted on a website.

Snapchat allows users to share videos and images that disappear 10 seconds after being received, but it is possible to save the pictures by taking a screen grab in that time.

No images have been published and there is speculation that the leak could be a hoax but some reports said the leaked images were stored on the servers of a website called Snapsaved, where Snapchat users could save their screen grabs rather than keeping them on their device.

Snapchat writes in an email to Dagbladet that they have nothing to do with the leak:

"We can confirm that Snapchats servers are broken into, and are not source of these leaks. Users of Snapchat are victims of use of third-party applications that store snaps, a practice we explicitly forbids our policies precisely because they compromise the user's safety. We're actively App store and Google play to monitor the illegal third-party applications and has succeeded in getting many of sdisse removed."

According to the person of thousands who claim to be asked hacking it Snapsave program that is causing the leak. The developer of Snapsave Georgie Casey, denies this to engadget.com.

Half of snapchats users are between 13 and 17 years, we suggested to teenages to avoid share photos through applications.
